Routine Eyecare

Routine Eyecare for the Whole Family at Pursuit Vision Therapy

You wouldn't hesitate to schedule vision therapy, eye disease management, or emergency eye care if a member of your family clearly needed it, but do you give the same priority to routine eyecare? Periodic eye exams and other preventative measures can go a long way toward keeping a minor vision issue from turning into a major threat to your ocular well-being. That's why we make a point of offering these forms of routine eye care alongside other eye services for families throughout Lancaster and surrounding areas.

Routine Eyecare

There's Nothing Routine about a Lifetime of Optimal Eyesight

Routine eye care involves more than simply getting a vision test to determine whether you're seeing "20/20." A great many dysfunctions and disorders can affect the eyes, many of them occurring gradually and/or without displaying obvious symptoms until serious vision issues have developed. These problems can have lasting implications for your loved ones' eyesight. For instance, eye function errors that occur in early childhood can stunt normal visual development and contribute to learning or coordination problems. Refractive errors can get worse and worse without your realizing it, leading to chronic eye strain, and potentially hazardous situations in adulthood. Sight-robbing diseases such as cataracts, glaucoma, and macular degeneration can become more and more of a threat into your senior years. Routine eye care can help us identify these and other concerns, enabling us to begin treatment as needed.

From Pediatric Eyecare and Vision Therapy to Senior Eye Exams

Routine eye care covers every stage of life. Pediatric eye care starts with those first few major eye exams. We can evaluate your child's eye structures, alignment, dominance (binocular vision), tracking and teaming, and other important factors for clear vision. Annual comprehensive eye and vision exams for older kids and adults allow us to keep checking for the earliest signs of eye disorders or abnormalities that may require corrective lenses, vision therapy, or disease treatment. Routine eye care for seniors helps us detect issues ranging from dry eye and cataracts to macular degeneration. The sooner we treat a sight-threatening condition, the more effectively we can prevent long-term complications.

If you're suffering from a troublesome, but non-urgent eye issue, our range of routine eyecare services also includes primary treatment for such problems. We can prescribe glasses or contacts, offer remedies for allergies or conjunctivitis, and help you manage situations such as dry eye or computer vision syndrome.
